L+K - The Proposal Story

"The Proposal
    ...where dreams came true *
        Written by: Krystle (the bride-to-be)
The trip to Disney began Sunday, May 1st 2011. We drove down with my parents. Monday afternoon marked our arrival...finally.
SKIP FORWARD...On our first night in Walt Disney World,  we took the Sassagoula River Cruise service from the French Quarter Port Orleans Resort to the Downtown Disney Marketplace. I needed to make my first stop be the Christmas store. I have a sick obsession with Christmas ornaments and during my last visit with Lou, we found they can do personalization in the Christmas store at Downtown. I looked to one that has “Our First Disney Vacation” and had “July 2007” on the back and found another to put our anniversary of “October 25, 2006” and our names on the back.
The next morning and our first full day in WDW, we hopped on the bus and went to Hollywood Studios. After carefully planning out the morning, we followed out and were able to manage getting on all the rides we planned on hitting, including the new Midway Mania...twice ;)
Anyways, back to the proposal story...Louis was complaining about his feet bothering him and left to go back to the hotel and grab his sneakers. In the meantime while waiting for him to get back, my parents and I went on a few rides. Lou then tells me he had gotten on the wrong bus and he will be a little longer...it was upsetting me. After a little bit more, he met us by the Sorcerer hat. We did a couple more rides and grabbed a bite to eat before headed back to the hotel to relax.
When we got back, Lou wanted to stop and grab his sister something from the gift shop so I went with him to help. There were cute things but he wanted to look around further at the parks…so we walked back up to the room. We turned the corner and my parents were standing outside. …I was confused.
Turned out, my parents and Louis surprised me by declaring me a Princess. The door had a beautiful sash draped over it saying “Princess” and when I opened the door, there were even more surprises. The back of the sash had “Dreams Come True.” On the table was a certificate signed by Belle proclaiming me a princess, a vase of roses, letter from Fairy Godmother, a scepter and scattered rose petals.
One of the beds had 3 hatboxes with more gifts for me: Believe held a mirror and decanter; Wish held a silver crown necklace; Dream displayed a real tiara sitting upon a pillow. Finally, there was a princess sash on the bed for me to wear to the Magic Kingdom later on in the week
Everything was so beautiful! I couldn’t get over what they had done for me. It truly brought tears to my eyes how amazing it was. I began closing up the boxes and putting things away as it was set up on my parents’ bed. Louie grabbed a couple of white boxes and told me the ornaments had come in when he came back earlier. After all the excitement...I needed to see my ornaments. They are always so beautifully done and it was just adding more smiles to my day.
I opened the first box and the “Our First Vacation” ornament came out perfect. I opened the second box and was confused. Instead of showing our anniversary date, the ornament read “May 3, 2011.” I think that they messed up. I turned it over and it read, “Will You Marry Me?"
I looked up and found my parents tearing up and I turned to Lou and he was holding out a ring. He said, “Well…will you?” At that point, all of us had tears in our eyes. It was amazing. I never would have thought. It came so unexpected and it was great being able to share that moment with my parents.
After all the excitement finally calmed down, we visited the pups at the kennel and went back to Hollywood for a little while before returning to the hotel and finished the night out with a few drinks."

Whose The Cake Boss?

I spent this past week at my boyfriends in New Jersey and while we were there he treated me to a visit to Carlos Bakery (as seen on TV). We love to watch Cake Boss and it was a huge treat to see it in person & thankfully getting there right when it opened at 7am was a great way to avoid the huge line (the hour and a half wait we had was long enough for me).

L+K - The Ring

The engagement ring is just as much fun to shoot as the happy couple. And in the case of my brother and his girlfriend their ring came with a wide array of props, disney themed props to be exact (they did get engaged there after all).

L+K - A Golden Afternoon Engagement

My brother as his girlfriend of 100 years ( a little exaggerated but my point is still valid) got engaged while on vacation is Disney World and of course I was commissioned (you know, minus the actual commission) to take their engagement photos so I dragged them to the beach for a couple of shots. It's a little over 2 years until their wedding date so I'm sure I'll be shooting them again before the actual day.

A Weekend In Atlantic City

For my 21st birthday my boyfriend surprised me with a road trip to Atlantic City. We ate, we shopped, we gambled, and most importantly I came home a winner, not too shabby for my first time gambling.

Toy Chest

One of my favorite things to shoot is board games, I don't know why but it always seemed to be my "go-to" in college when we had a project and it always resulted in an "A" and an image I really liked.

Genesy - Baby's First Birthday

I've been lucky enough to shoot Genesy regularly throughout her first year on earth so shooting her first birthday just came naturally.
